How to choose a case for iPhone 16

The iPhone 16 is one of the most powerful and expensive phones on the market, which is why a quality case isn't a luxury, but a necessity. In this guide, we explain what to look for when choosing an iPhone 16 case.

1. Material Determines Protection Level

Silicone cases are soft, absorb shock well, and are pleasant to touch, but they can collect dust over time and yellow slightly. Hard (polycarbonate) cases are thinner and better preserve the phone's original design but absorb less impact. Leather cases look prestigious and develop their own unique texture over time, but are usually more expensive. If maximum protection is your main goal, choose hybrid cases with a TPU frame and a hard back – they combine the benefits of both materials.

2. MagSafe Compatibility

The iPhone 16 fully supports the MagSafe magnetic system, so it's worth choosing a case with built-in magnets – this allows for easy use of wireless chargers, magnetic car mounts, and wallets without extra adapters. Check the product description to see if the case is marked as "MagSafe compatible".

3. Camera Protection

The iPhone 16 camera module slightly protrudes from the body, so a good case provides a raised edge around the camera – this protects the lenses from scratches when you place the phone on a table. Ensure the cutouts precisely match the placement of the Camera Control and Action buttons so they are easily accessible.

4. Transparent or Colorful?

Transparent cases allow you to showcase the phone's original color but can yellow over time – choose cases with an anti-yellowing coating. Colorful and fashion cases from brands like Burga, Ideal of Sweden, or Guess allow you to personalize your look while providing full protection.

5. Daily Usage Habits

If you often carry your phone in your bag with keys or coins, choose a case with raised edges around the screen. For an active lifestyle, shock-resistant (rugged) cases with certified drop protection up to 2 meters are more suitable.

Summary
